A true classic

We returned to Bad Nauheim after almost 15 years and found the course is still the true gem it was back in the day. The whole atmosphere is very unique, with its century-old landmark clubhouse and the scenic and charming parkland course.
The course may play short and by the numbers appear to be easy. But make no mistake, you have to control your balls and keep them in the fairway. Otherwise the looming branches will quickly teach you the difference between the good, the bad and the ugly shots. The small greens are true targets and the overall condition of the course and the greens was amazing, especially considering we played it midsummer! The course marks a true test of skill, not found anymore on bigger, more modern courses.
Since it's an easy walk, we finished nine holes in barely under two hours and decided on another nine and had no reason to regret it.
If you want to experience an amazing old school course that plays to today's highest standards, you definitely have to go there when you are in the Frankfurt area.
We enjoyed a wonderful and very special day of golf and we will come back for sure!

The course is one of the oldest golf courses in Germany (1903) and you can tell that in the best sense of the word. Very nice clubhouse and well-kept tracks. You feel transported to another time.
The lanes are flat and the difficulty of the course results from the old trees that you have to play through.

Fair park landscape

Today I played the Parkland Course in Bad Nauheim for the first time.
I had a green fee voucher over 25, so my remaining fee was € 10.
Even the registration for a start time was very uncomplicated and very friendly :-) I started at 6:12 pm and was the last one on the field, wonderful :-)
My conclusion:

The first time it is best to use a GPS. The course is not far from the center next to the ice rink (or follow the signs to the ice rink).
Park:
Since the place is on a slope, there is limited parking space, tenants park in a separate parking lot that can be reached through a barrier. The guest parking lot is above the member's parking lot, but is paved and in order.
Check-in: Open, friendly, funny, small talk as a matter of course, uncomplicated. Since it was rainy, I said: "If nobody goes out you can of course start earlier."
Place / practice facilities:
Since I still had time, I practiced a bit on the putting green. It is right (!) Next to the club terrace( this was also well occupied on the first day of OPENING / GASTRONOMI / CORONA ;-) So, one was under observation ;-) The driving range is on the other side of the Usa River. To get there, cross the fairway of hole 4, then cross a small bridge. I wasn't over there.
Place:
Tee 1 also in DIRECT VISIBILITY from the terrace :-)) The course consists of PAR4 and PAR3 holes. The condition was very good (and not softened in spite of the rain used). The greens are not too big and very faithful, putting was very easy.
You can tell that the course designer has a preference for fairway bunkers ;-) They are often found. Despite the parkland character, I didn't find the space "too narrow" or too "tricky", 95% of the lanes are straight ahead. Long hitters will miss a few meters of leeway here. The paths between the tracks are short and very clear. Overall, I achieved PAR 4 times on a course that was completely new to me :-) Accessibility is not a problem, the course is completely flat.
Note: Green 9 is about 6 meters in front of the putting green, so: make a good estimate ;-)
Result: Very nice place, pleasant atmosphere, fair to play, WORTHWORTHY :-) Green fee prices of 30 € / weekdays and 35 € / WE + public holiday by no means too much.

This place is a real idyll, fantastic fairways, manicured greens, everywhere it blooms. I played the course for the last time in 2016, then the highlight was the greens, but now the course has become even more beautiful!

The wait staff was overwhelmed with a group of 12 American and German, with the back and forth of German and English, was friendly but nervous. After 21 clock was inside newly set and no longer looked after us. At about 21:20 we even 3 glasses of wine brought indoors, because outdoors nobody has impressive. From 21:30 we were with 12 people (previously eaten including dessert had !!!) the last guests. No one came out to ask if we might still want to have a drink or pay. We went purely on numbers. Very great was my surprise when I wanted to go at 21.45 to the toilet and found the door locked. When I returned to the table, I saw how the staff has left through the side entrance, the restaurant and drove away without comment.

A beautifully ingrown 9 - hole course with old trees and a very nice clubhouse. Consistently friendly staff and members.
