Most demanding greens

Played on January 22nd, 2024 like most courses in Dubai at the highest level. Fareways, bunkers and greens were in perfect condition on this day!
I've never played on such a challenging green; a huge challenge

Ok

We stayed at Dubai Hills in May 2023, the staff is 5 stars as with all places in Dubai. The course is actually in very good condition, but it was not a good experience. 80% was with construction sites in the background which is not a factor for me however there was a smell of sewage and burnt oil all over the place. The cartpaths are badly marked and there were many cartpaths that led nowhere. The course is extremely easy to play and relatively boring.

Good place but too much construction site

Played on 3/16/2023. The 18-hole course is just outside the metropolis behind the E44 motorway. The signs to the golf club could be better. You drive through a guarded driveway past a residential area to the parking lot in front of the modern and sophisticated clubhouse. If you want, you can bring your bags under the clubhouse beforehand and drop them off at the bag drop off. The ladies at the front desk were friendly. The cart was ready with the start time. However, the cart had its quirks on the round. At first the parking brake didn't do it, then the cart said 2 x on the round, although you were on the cart path, that you were driving on the green or in the sand and refused to continue driving. A marshal had to help. The square itself has many large waste areas. In addition, some bunkers and a few water hazards, a classic, flat resort course without major highlights, two elevated tees are quite nice. The condition was perfect, the greens very fast. However, what was absolutely annoying and actually permanent, were the many construction sites next to the fairways. When everything is finished, it will certainly look great, but not really pleasing at the moment. On the other hand, some free-roaming gazelles that can be seen next to and on the fairways are very nice. We booked a start time via the TroonApp and paid the corresponding discount (book 7 days in advance) €110 green fee including cart with two small bottles of water, GPS and range balls. Game operations on a Thursday afternoon were lively. There were no completely free starting times, so there were also a few three- and four-man flights with the corresponding playing time. There are refreshment stations with toilets on the circuit and water can be tapped at every second lane. In the clubhouse there are one or two restaurants (not used) and very elegant and spacious locker rooms. Overall, you can play here, but you don't have to, mainly because of the construction sites at the moment it's more of a second choice.

Top

Our favorite place in Dubai (also because it's a bit lighter), top service, good value for money, top condition.

Great Place

Played on 11/19/2022.
Beautiful, challenging course not overbuilt like the other places. But the excavators and cranes are already threatening the area.
Nevertheless, layout and maintenance very good.
With large and fast greens.
With Els Club the best place in Dubai.

World class place!

Not only the view of Burj Khalifa is spectacular! The entire facility, the fairways and the design are world class! The still young Dubai Hills Course is certainly one of the top 5 in UAE! The only thing that bothered me was the completely exaggerated driving of what felt like 20 Marshalls, with a playing time of exactly 4 hours. 3 mins!
For the very high green fee you want to be able to play a little quieter and for a long and spectacular design course 4 hours. 20 min. certainly ok too!

Great place, quick greens

The very new course impresses with a great course maintenance, very beautiful fairways, especially the 8 and 18, I really liked, as well as wonderful, true to track, undulated and fast greens.
Course from "blue" - penultimate tee - around 6,200 m, at par 72, relatively long, but still pleasant to play!
Fairways, tees, bunkers all in perfect condition.
The only drawback is the construction site - umpteen apartments are being built - and the countless houses, some of which look the same, around the square!

However, I really liked the layout of the course.
Green fees meanwhile around 160, - €.

Restaurants impeccable, service very nice.

New city course

Varied fairways in a very good condition. Nice fairways and fast greens. Very nice and courteous staff. A round is worth it all times.

Price / performance

Have played here for a really relatively narrow thaler (120 euros). Loved it, nice layout, not too heavy, wide fairways, wants to have fun and win no major. Sensational clubhouse, good food, but the nuts you have to pay: o)

Nice new place without any special challenges

The place is brand new, the beginning of January 19, the range was not yet in operation. Space has some nice views of Dubai and nice ponds, also the only way to lose your ball. Very wide fairways, if one avoids the bunker filled with nice sand, one can scoren here similarly as on Jumeirah Fire or Arabian ranches. Architecturally nothing special. Very modern clubhouse. At a cheap green fee you can play the course but not a must.

Super!

We (hcp 11 & 17) played the Dubai Hill, which opened just a week ago, and were really excited. The place is not only well maintained but also very well planted. At 2 holes there are even bigger construction sites next to the fairways, but you will be compensated by fantastic views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Downtown.
The course has a very entertaining layout and some really exciting holes that require a serious course management.
Is already a real highlight, for us one of the most beautiful places in Dubai!!
