Surprisingly, there are very few courses which deserve to be called 'hidden gems, a term that is so overused it often loses its meaning, but Cruit Island is just that. It is a magical clifftop course that overlooks the Atlantic from almost every hole and one of the few courses that doesn't need to be lengthened by 1, 000 top provide a greater challenge.
Wind is a constant factor here, as it should be on any true links. A few extra bunkers have been added in recent years but the overall challenge of this course remains unchanged. True hidden gem

If you pass on this course because it's only 9 holes, you missed an opportunity to play in a special place. It's seaside but not really a links, as it's perched an the cliffsover the water. You must make an effort to get there as it's not on the way to anywhere.

A pearl this place. Played in the best weather, challenging holes, sensational panoramas of the unique landscape. Due to the weather, there was a lot going on with traffic jams due to flights of four, which the manager who was also playing had to overtake with his flight of four in the manner “I am boss, let me through”, so that the traffic jam got worse and we stayed up very long with 2 flights had to wait for the last lanes at the tee.
