Costão Golf Club

The first golf course in Florianópolis, the fashionable capital city of the State, Costão Golf Club is the main attraction of a high standard condominium. It was officially opened in 2006, as part of Costão do Santinho Resort, which was elected the best beach resort in Brazil by Viagem & Turismo magazine for three consecutive years. The nature of the surroundings is exhilarating: sand dunes and mountains with Atlantic forests stand beside several holes. The most outstanding holes are number 2, a par 4 with two lakes in the fairway, and number 8, with a beautiful view of the see and the dunes at a distance. At first sight, the course seems to be easy, which is a huge mistake. Sand banks and well-placed ponds, along with several out of bound marks, make the game extremely hard on harsh windy days – quite usual in the region. The ones who get tired of golfing – nearly impossible at such a swell course – may either have fun or relax in the resort. Relaxing massages at the spa or a stroll by the shore before dinner time are some good tips.

There are projects to expand Costão Golf Club to 18 holes, and also to build a cable car over the sand dunes in order to comfortably take the guests of the resort to the golf course.
