Ok, but not “you have to play it”

First the positive impressions: Nice place for a holiday round, we liked it better than the Old Course, south of Ayamonte. The doglegs, water hazards and slightly elevated tees provide variety.
The clubhouse made a good impression. The second nine holes are along the river and are more scenic. What we didn't like was the condition of the fairways (little grass, rock hard) and the tees, as well as the driving range... the tee mats have already rolled up on the sides, balls are only available with a card for €10, not with € coins or tokens. If you want it cheaper, download an app! Furthermore, the building ruins, where nothing has happened for years, are not very nice to look at and spoil the beautiful view. When we played there there was little wind and a bit humid, which meant that there were already a lot of mosquitoes around in March. With a golf course in a swampy area, this is something to be expected!

Good course

A nice track and the finish is good. A bit of links at the end so the ball rolls well. So I think the track is worth a visit.

Average place for a holiday round

After 2 years we played the course again. The first 9 holes are now also open and are nicer than the back nine, which should give the impression of a links course.
But it is not a links course. The name is misleading. Missing trees or bushes do not make a links course.
The condition was sufficient. The foregreens were disastrous.
The gastronomy is good, the staff friendly.
The overall impression is burdened by the many old building shells and villas that have already fallen into disrepair. The vacancy that has existed for years is depressing.
