Unfriendly reception. Buggies with GPS.
Course condition: Greens and bunkers good, fairways o.k., tee boxes below expectations. Must play straight because almost every ball not on the fairway is lost. Thick grass or clovers make it impossible to find any balls.

The real green fee in march is 94 Euro, which we consider quite steep. The pace of play is slow and the manangement tells the players that a 5 hour round is normal, which does not really motivate to speed up the game. The first 12 holes are quite flat and a little boring, The remaning 6 quite up and down, more scenic and atractive. The condition of the course is ok. The terrasse of the restaurant looks quite nice, but there was no time left to visit the same, unfortunately.

We played Capdepera at first availible tee time (7.30) It was a good idea since the temperatures are quite high in July..
The course was in exellent conditions, the greens were VERY good!
The first 11 holes gives you a posiblity to spread your balls a little, but from the 12th on you need to find your aim.
The last 6 holes are very beautiful. It's very quiet and no disturbance at all.
The wonderful terrace is a must stop after your round. Very friendly staff and amazing food!
All in all - a wonderful experiance!

Tee boxes underground are bad, extremely uneven and where is the grass??

First of all: I can't understand the many negative reviews! Yes, the course is not the hardest and some of the tees (not all!) are a bit uneven. But still recommended as a place for a vacation. In short: if you want a high-gloss clubhouse, you should play Canyamel, if you're looking for a challenge, Alcanada (they're currently growing the rough there for the Challenge Tour( October 23), dare you). But what I like about Capdepera:
1. the staff, the staff and again the staff! Rarely do you experience such a consistently friendly and helpful atmosphere as there 2. the clubhouse and the restaurant, which are run with great attention to detail (even if not everything is perfect, keyword showers for the ladies). When you sit on the terrace after the round, you just feel comfortable and can “experience Mallorca”
3. the place starts relaxed with a par 5 and improves at the end both in terms of sport and the view. For me it's a wonderful holiday spot, even if I also like more challenging places like Pinnacle Point (SA) or Buenavista (Tenerife).

The first twelve holes are on the flat, in my opinion nice and easy to play if you do it right😅. Things get interesting from the 14th hole. Unfortunately the tees are a disaster, all the tees are humped - hill and valley - so you can never stand straight. The grass is missing on several tees. Mallorca as a golf destination in February? Yes absolutely! Low season, cheaper prices, empty streets and hotels (if they are already open).
This year, however, we were there during an extremely bad weather week (yes, things like that can definitely happen in Mallorca!) and were able to play 2 more rounds here before the water and winter hit. Overall, I found the condition in order, but almost all tees have "elephant humps", you almost never really stand straight, but slightly under / over the ball. The fairways were in good condition, the greens were tidy. As the pre-criticism already writes, it gets really interesting from hole 13, hole 10 with the little house and the wall as a dogleg is also pretty, and I personally think holes 15 and 18 are the most beautiful. The green fee prices are reasonable until mid-February, then they increase significantly and then from the beginning of March it gets quite expensive for what is on offer. However, you can hardly play anywhere in Mallorca for less than €100, the Mallorca Golf Card then no longer brings any reduction, and measured by the quality of this course, I honestly find what is on offer too expensive. There was no pro shop, only a few things in the restaurant (polos, shoes, gloves), presented rather unlovingly. If the high season is supposed to be from the beginning of March, I find that clearly too poor.
However, what is really good is the kitchen - the food was always excellent in the clubhouse and the terrace (although too cool during our stay) was very nice. And the staff overall very friendly, they also speak German (of course), but they were happy about my efforts in Spanish and my wife's fluent Spanish.
CONCLUSION: I would wish for a better condition, straightened the deductions and a better price-performance ratio.
We now know all the places in the northeast through several visits, Canyamel is my personal favourite, Alcanada is also great, but at €170 it is also quite expensive.
Next time we will visit the southwest of the island.

We played this course three times in late January/early February 2023. The condition of the course was good, the tees had grass and the fairways were mostly well maintained. There is a star deduction for the mostly missing signs and the sparse descriptions of the tracks at the tees.
The first 11 holes are all flat and not particularly spectacular. Hole 10 is the first hole to present an interesting layout with the cottage after the tee. But it gets really nice from hole 13. The remaining six holes are all built into the rising slope with palm trees and bushes and have great discounts over bushes or barranco. We enjoyed these tracks.
Especially Mattias gave us a very friendly welcome.
We can highly recommend this course and would love to play here again when we are back in Mallorca.

We have been coming to Capdepera for 8 years because we did our license there and there is one of the best golf schools with Michelle & Tobias that we know.
It is thanks to them and the amazing hacienda style clubhouse, with good food at reasonable prices served by very friendly staff, that we keep coming back to Capdepera.
The course otherwise has 2 faces: flat and manageable in the front nine, mountainous, narrow and losing lots of ball if the game is not straight on the back nine. These compensate with beautiful regional views.

We were last on the island 14 years ago and have played part of the courses to the east several times. The time intervals illustrate the importance that the island has for us in terms of golf.
One of our team members played his 300th course here.
Of these five in the east - we include Vall d'Or - this one was No. 2, Vall d'Or was one of the best the Balearic Islands had to offer at the time.
Dan Maples designed this course, we believe it's the only course he built outside of the US.
The notes are extensive for this visit as a whole, but not for all courses. We really liked the back nine, and again today. We were very satisfied with the course maintenance, although some drawbacks were made compared to Vall d'Or. Some details have not received the attention they deserve.
The first part of the course is on a slight slope - holes 1-12 - this was originally agricultural land. The last 6 holes were knocked out of the woods and are great. Some of these holes are quite difficult to play as the trees make them narrow.
Hole 15 - a par 3 - is repeatedly described in the magazines as the most beautiful par 3 in the Balearic Islands and also offers a great view. It's the best hole in the whole east for us.
Today the course maintenance was a topic of conversation, doesn't mean that it's bad, we expected better conditions. Above all, the different mowing cadence was a big issue, not all tees and fairways were freshly cut. We also miss the attention to detail.
The greens were fine, not particularly fast today.
We can again emphasize the clubhouse with the terrace and the good gastro - spent a few evenings here on our last visit. The attentive and friendly staff earns high marks.

Due to the shortness of the space, you could often do without the driver if the 3-blade is hit more precisely.

We play in Mallorca for many years and have finally played with Capdepera the last "unknown" place. Our conclusion is pervaded.

The place does not look neglected, but it is still far from the top spots of the island. And hardly a hole is really exciting. For this money there are some better (more interesting) places in Mallorca.
