Upex golf tour.

I think the same as the last review. Rather expensive for a very well kept boring course. The first 9 holes we played were ok. The back 9 was on the old par 3 course. I always rate a course when you remember holes. Play Gassan Khutan you wont forget it. This was 2,600 green fee. On WOW GOLF only 2,199. But i was to late to book by WOW. I WONT BE RUSHING BACK TO PLAY HERE.

Rather ordinary

Black Mountain is a money making machine. As far as I am concerned it is a very competently artificially bui lt course 3 months after playing it I can hardly remember a single hole whereas I can from Sea Pines and Royal Hua Hin neither of which are in as good condition but have far more character. The caddies were great but the course was so so. 4 ball flights only and we had an extra joined on to us. Marshalls push you around the course all in all a bit stressful.
I would not play it again.

Black Mountain

I was a bit rattled from trying to find my way from town but the course and facilities were awesome to say the least. This is a must play if in the area. get your wallet out.

Drought

I played a few days ago on this renowned course. Unfortunately the conditions were not optimal, due to the lack of water most of the lakes were dry and so were part of the fairways making everything much less spectacular.
Reception normal with slightly distracted caddies.
Every 3/4 hole you can find a small bar with drinks and services.

Overrated

Course played on February 7th, 2024. Course in very dry condition, greens very good, bunkers ok.
The place is so well attended that there is more activity than anywhere else in Hua-Hin. (There are still over 70 flights behind us…) That really spoils the fun.
Otherwise layout: varied, and depending on the T-Box, very long.
Conclusion: Banyan is clearly the best choice on Hua-Hin, that too. The price is right there for what is offered!

Never more

the north and east squares are great and beautiful. BUT

- Emails about booking not answered several times
- Staff disinterested and only pushes
- Club car drove only on fixed routes, so no great added value
- Caddy gave no tips and knew bie where the ball is let alone dwnn finds/looks for balls
- After 9 holes no bio break.. further further although we constantly had to wait for the flight in front of us.

- Noise from brushcutters and builders in villas on 9 out of 18 holes
- no water offered, no ice available for own water.
- no free shuttle like other clubs in HH
The places get 9 out of 10, the rest only 2 out of 10 overall fun 4/10 I don't need it again.

Nice golf course but not easy

Today I should play this place. Lots of water in turns and very fast greens. The rental clubs were new. It is advisable to take enough balls with you. Other golfers informed me in advance that you should play handicap over 20 from 65. This tip was great and I had a lot of fun with it

Nice difficult place with small flaws

A beautiful imposing golf course with style and difficult space. You often play up- or down-hill from slopes and on very fast undulated greens. Not an experience for golf beginners. Very nice staff and a nice club house with a great terrace.

Due to our travel time, the course (north and east course) unfortunately had to play in high season. Everyone was on the move with Caddy-Dame and almost everyone with Cart. But still, as a group of four, we were on the road for almost 5 hours and only stood. In front of us and behind us only traffic jam and no game flow - even Marshalls couldn't do anything - a shame. This is the flaw that club management should pay attention to when starting in such a difficult place.

The price per person for 18-hole green fee, caddy fee and cart is THB 5,000 in high season, approx. € 150 plus caddy tip. For such an impressive price, I expect more playing comfort than with other premium golf courses (e.g. start times every 12 minutes). A shame for the high-quality golf course.

Dr.

Black Mountain Hua Hin Green Fee much higher than stated, THB 3600, equals to € 103, -. On 29.4.19 recorded: Hole 10-18 closed because of construction, no information about it from the reception. New West Course not so interresting. In tournament advised (also no information from the front desk), play around, and the boisterous tracks later nachgeholt. Caddy nice, reception and reception rather indifferent. Overall much too expensive, tutto € 210, - (GF, caddy, cart, tip, racket, taxi)

World Class

Sensational place, with excellent architecture and many very nice details that would go beyond the frame.
Length for "normal low handicapper" men around 6,200 m long, champions 6,750 m.

A little hilly place with very beautiful fairways, extremely well maintained, fairways a dream.
Bunker with soft sand, as you wish.
Many water hazards, many huge bunkers, but space is not unfair.

World class greens, extremely fast - simply sensational!!

Fantastic hole 6, a 540 m long (downhill) par 5, and hole 11 a par 3. But all fairways are very beautiful and challenging - just world class!!

Hard, long, fascinating

I have been playing golf in HuaHin for many years and have been playing BM for about 10 years. He gets better every year. Every year there are changes in the design and every time it gets a bit more exciting. BM is a real challenge. Water and sand obstacles are exactly where you (should not) have them. And yet the place is super fair. No hidden obstacles or difficulties, you always see what you have to get involved with. My hc, mom. -9.8, I have never played on this course, but that does not really matter. Each lane has a wonderful view of the hilly surroundings, even the villas and condos next to the lifts are nice to look at.
Yes, it is really expensive, for Thai standards, but once or twice during your vacation you should indulge in the luxury.
For Highhandicaper I find it too heavy. Too much water and you need no matter what tee a healthy basic length of the blows.
Service, condition are firstclass. I go to the saddle of my caddies whenever possible. With a bit of fitness this is not a problem.
For me the best of the many beautiful places around HuaHin.

WOW

Three rounds played in January 2018. WOW layout: slightly hilly, with lots of water. Great creeks and ponds. Countless small waterfalls. Many increased haircuts with beautiful views. Excellent greens. With appropriate fitness to walk easily. Care condition terrific. Great caddies. For me, by far the best place in Hua Hin. Banyan can not even compete. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Can highly recommend bookings through local providers. Have made best experiences with Lucky Proshop.

A great golf course with a very grozzügigem club house From condition like Banyan Black Mountain, however, is a lot harder to play and it is advisable to take a car

Best Place

We have the place on the 10th, 19. and 20.11.2017 and we can only join the rating of KingOfTheTee. Even if the place did not accept our game every time :-). Pure enjoyment! Gladly again.

Absolute class

Have now played 5 places in Hua Hin and this place was clearly the best in absolute top condition. Fairways such as carpets, on which already makes walking joy, although a cart is recommended. Güns also top and caddies friendly. Worth every star.

Crown Prince or King?

In my opinion, BM and Banyan in first place, at least as regards the condition and layout. Liking Backtee67 we saw not now confirmed. The course was in great condition, our caddies world class, only the outfit and the quality of the clubhouse staff did not fit right now. As might have been sitting in a nightclub in Hua Hin. The place is just a championship course, something artificial designed than the natural Banyan. But we know that either is to us a place and he assumes our game or not!

Not at his best

Black Mountain could not present its best in November 16 Banyan was better by far. Caddies not competent Buggis only in the ways that a 5-Stünder meant no Birdie Books (!), Fairways too thin (too little grass) and next to the tracks rather unkempt. The food is good and cheap. Clear max. the no. 2 in Hua Hin.

Extremely nice facility

Sorry, we as a beginner 'only' the Par-3 Course have played. Absolutely no pleasure. Too difficult with many water and bunker. Very sparse - far & wide, no tree or bush. With imprecisely game you lose balls almost every hole.

Very very good - but expensive

I can only agree with previous reviews and foremost. Getting to the place is really not good, the road is full of potholes - but do not be discouraged, the golf club makes up for everything. Fairways and greens and bunkers ('ve tested almost all) are in top condition. The holes are made very varied and great. The plants around it are beautifully laid out and you play at the villas of some pros before. Water hazards are also manageable for medium handicappers. The caddies are ordered you get mostly nice Thai women who read a the perfect putt - but you have also to be taught: o). And do not be afraid if you have never played with a caddy. It is really great and relaxing - the girls like to do also NEN Joke. All in all, the best place I have ever played - with 3600 baht plus tip for the caddy but also very expensive (about 100 € with caddy). E-cart if desired currently costs 500 baht. Gastronomy and Case are great. The changing rooms have even a small sauna and a jacuzzi. The food is cheap and good, although not an excessive amount. I can only recommend the place, it really is worth it! Ps: you can book your place on spanish_property by shuttle from the hotel, the shuttle does not cost anything additional!

Dan I've ever played, the best place with 3500 THB caddy is for Thailand steep price but it is worth it in every way, let your golfer's heart beat high and play this course

Just gorgeous

Just a great place - in every respect. Difficulty, state space, environment. Highly recommended and a must in Hua Hin. The system is designed so that you can almost always feel alone. Bunkers and water hazards alternate, as first uphill, sometimes downhill play.
Brand new is a 'simple par 3' of space to play hot with many challenges. Without a very precise game it is rather to the ball eater because of the many water hazards.
Also the club facilities and the restaurant with a kind of Roof Top Bar is surely not disappoint. And the cost? Negligible

Super Site

The best in Hua Hin, one of the best in Asia! Long, spectacular central designs, Topp Flege condition, but with 100-euros not cheap, super, the new par 3 course! Nothing for beginners and high handicap

Exceeds all expectations

Directions to the Golf Club left does not look good: a bad road with many potholes. But what was then found, exceeded all expectations. The infrastructure and the place itself correspond to the highest level. The modern room has built many water hazards and bunkers. These are well placed and also require a good tactical game. Conclusion: not for nothing that the place only opened in 2005 won several awards in Asia: an absolute highlight!
