This awe-inspiring 18-hole Championship golf course traversing gently rolling hills, at 7,858 yards - par 72 provides a balance of challenge, enjoyment and excitement to golfers of all levels and abilities. The front 9 is somewhat more traditional forest/parkland in style, while the back 9 wends its way through twists and turns of the surrounding hillside. The fairways are typically generous, and the bunkering style is impressively bold with the grass rolled over the faces leaving the sand partly visible from the tees. The greens are noted for subtle undulations and encourage a variety of approach shots.

Complex space but not for everyone

Visually beautifully modulated golf course into the landscape. However, it seems exaggerated to me whether you have to have so many blind shots. Apart from a few downhill holes, there is practically no green visible and, if you don't know the course, this inevitably leads to unnecessary mistakes. The caddies' limited English is not enough to develop a sensible playing strategy. The condition of the course was good, but the greens were too slow and not really true. Fun factor limited; The Hoiana Shores, for example, is much more fun. Not suitable for high handicappers, as we saw from our Korean teammates.

Near Da Nang, Ba Na Hills is the most scenic spot. Located in the mountains it offers fantastic views. The greens are lightning fast and difficult to read, but there are good caddies. The complex is well maintained and has a nice clubhouse with a good restaurant. Proshop is well equipped. Overall, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful places we have played (out of a total of 10).
