The Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai (formerly Chiang Mai Lamphun Golf Club) comprises some 450 rai of land that nestles in a valley between the mountain ranges in the heart of the San Kampaeng natural forests. It is undoubtedly one of the golf courses in Chiang Mai that boast of the best in natural beauty. The design of the course, by world-famous golf course designer Mr Ron Garl, was inspired by the magnificent hills in its horizon. No matter where you are on the course, you are sure to enjoy nature at her best: exquisite lush green from the nearby forests - which comprise a rich assembly of trees such as the golden teakwood, the Dipterocarpus Alatus and many more other species.

We played many courses during November 2012 in Chiang Mai and all over Thailand, but we have never had such a bad experience. We are very disappointed about two mayor things:
1. The Caddys wanted me to play the WHITE tees only. My handicap is 6.9 and it wasn’t a lot of fun to play such short course.
2. My wife is disabled and the Marshal didn’t allow her Caddy to move the cart from the cart path next to the fairway.
We left the Alpine Golf Course after six holes very frustrated and we will never come back to this place.
