The new 18 hole course at Abbeyleix already developed a reputation as one of the best courses in the midlands. The well known Golf Architect Mel Flanigan designed the new 18 hole layout that provides a fair test of Golf for players of all handicaps.

The former 9 hole course was recognized as one of the best 9 hole courses in ireland and now having obtained a beautiful piece of rolling terrain that contains many different mature trees, the new 18 holes ensures a challenging round of golf with many scenic views.
