Brendan Jones and Richard Green will represent Australia at golf's World Cup at the Mission Hills Golf Club in China from November 27-30, according to the PGA of Australia.

Green, the highest ranked Australian on the official world rankings at 52 to accept the World Cup invitation, will make his second appearance in the event while Jones will be making his debut.

They are bidding to claim Australia's fifth World Cup and the first since 1989 when Wayne Grady and Peter Fowler won in Marbella, Spain.

Green has two European Tour titles and one on the Australasian Tour, while Jones, ranked 74, has a Nationwide Tour title and eight wins on the Japan Golf Tour.

Defending champions Scotland are seeking to win back-to-back titles with Colin Montgomerie looking to retain the trophy he won with Marc Warren last year after defeating the United States in a playoff.
