Course specialist Udorn Duangdecha stormed to a four-shot lead at the half-way mark of the Singha E-San Open in Khon Kaen on Thursday with a sparkling seven-under-par 65.

The 40-year-old Thai said he would be hard to catch after he hit every fairway at Singha Park Golf Club in regulation and took just 27 putts on his round.

"I can say that I will win this tournament if I continue the way I am playing -- I am very confident," he said.

Udorn, who is bidding for his second title on the Asean PGA tour, won the King's Cup on the Asian Tour at the same course last November and is relishing the windy conditions.

Tanutchan Puaktes and Napat Pattamasing matched Udorn's 65 to leap into a tie for second place with fellow Thais Prom Meesawat, in with a 69, and Poosit Supupramai, who eagled the final hole for a 67.
